A little introduction
Buying a rug isn't as straightforward as many people think.
Terms like handmade, hand crafted and luxury are used everywhere, but they don't always mean the same thing.
I've put together this guide to explain the differences so you can choose the right rug for your home, lifestyle and budget.
Whether you use me or not, I hope it helps.
Chapter 1 - Understanding Rug Qualities

Browse my designs for inspiration, then send me your plans, mood boards, room photos or simply give me a call - I'll come back to you with my initial thoughts, rough pricing and design suggestions.
Most clients choose from our collection of designs, but if you're looking for something entirely unique, we can also create a completely bespoke design together.
Where distance allows, I'll bring a carefully chosen selection of rugs to your home, client or showroom. Seeing rugs in the space makes choosing colours, textures and sizes so much easier. Together we'll choose what works best.
If you're too far afield or abroad, we can have a meeting via WhatsApp video call and send samples to each other.
Following our visit or on-line meeting, I'll prepare visuals and a detailed quotation. I will often take photos of the room during the site visit so I can also do roomset visuals to really help you envisage.
We can refine designs, colours and specifications until everything feels just right.
Once you're happy, and everything is signed off, your rug goes into production with the trusted teams I've worked alongside for many years in India and Nepal. I'll oversee every key stage, from approving the final CAD design and dyed yarns, to checking progress during weaving, and inspecting the finished rug before it's sent.
Before the rug is dispatched I'll send you a photograph of the finished piece, and also check the final size with you.
I coordinate every aspect of delivery and installation with my experienced fitting team, who I have worked with since I began. Every rug is carefully checked before delivery, ensuring it arrives in perfect condition and is ready to be installed.
We can also provide underlay and MicroSeal protection, helping your rug look its best for years to come.
