‘Tipshear with Fringe’ is from Amy’s plains collection. A wonderfully versatile choice when you want something plain and luxurious underfoot, without introducing another pattern into the room. Once knotted in a single colour, the rug is sheared to create a beautifully soft, slightly distressed finish, giving it depth and character rather than feeling like a completely flat plain.
It works almost anywhere and can be made in an enormous range of colours, from soft neutrals to deeper, richer shades. The contrasting wool fringe is a lovely opportunity to introduce a little bit of fun — either toning with the rug or adding an unexpected pop of colour.
Shown here in 'art' silk (tencel), Tipshear can also be made in real silk for an even more luxurious finish, with greater durability and longevity than art silk. £1,090/sqm.
